Eureka College students named to ‘Who’s Who’

Twenty-three selected

Twenty-three Eureka College students have been selected for inclusion in the 2009 edition of “Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.” Nominations were made by Eureka College faculty and staff. Selection was based on students’ academic achievement, community service, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success.

Seniors included on the list are Matthew Cahill of Pekin; Jennifer Dama of Portage, Mich.; Mark Darnall of Lake Mills, Wis.; Mark Edgcomb of Utica; Kyle Gogoel of Elgin; Jordan Jesse of Varna; Sarah Little of Blytheville, Ark.; Jacquelyn McCauley of Mendota; Michael Rasmussen of Willowbrook; Julie Stroebel of Verona; Bethany Thacker of Deer Creek; Ebony Thomas of Peoria; and Ed Zordani of Algonquin.

Juniors included on the list are Mary Fitch of Galesburg; Elizabeth Hoff of Hendrum, Minn.; Anita Jones of Chicago; Shalea Otto of Chillicothe; Aaron Phelan and Laura Punke, both of Eureka; Patricia Prosser of El Paso; Kimberlee Sandall of Pekin; Ashley Warchol of Coulterville; and Melissa Wessels of Waterman.

“Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges” includes names of student leaders from more than 2,300 institutions of higher learning in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and several foreign countries. The directory has been published since 1934.
