Tickets for Mikhail Gorbachev’s Peoria appearance are now available for purchase. Gorbachev will speak at the second annual Ronald Reagan Day Dinner at 6:30 p.m. March 27 in the ballroom at the Civic Center to launch the college’s Ronald W. Reagan Society to support the school’s programs that carry forward the Reagan legacy. Gorbachev will speak on the leadership lessons of Ronald Reagan and how building relationships between leaders can change the world. The Creve Coeur Club of Peoria will hold its 111th annual George Washington Banquet in conjunction with the Reagan dinner, creating an unprecedented partnership, said Tim Elder of the Creve Coeur Club. “Now, for the first time in the long tradition of the George Washington Banquet, the Creve Coeur Club is honored to partner in hosting an event of historic proportions that also raises support for the development of new leaders.”
Eureka College President J. David Arnold said, “Two organizations with traditions that date back over 100 years are partnering to honor two great American presidents with one outstanding dinner event for central Illinois. By combining the club’s annual Washington Banquet with the college's annual Reagan Day Dinner, we are able to bring an evening with the esteemed Mikhail Gorbachev to the widest possible regional audience.”
