Eureka man named Eureka College Learning Center director

will also join ranks of faculty

Jason Zimmerman of Eureka was named director of the Learning Center at Eureka College in March.  He also will teach history at the college this fall.

Zimmerman’s duties include coordinating services at the college’s writing center and mathematics lab, arranging course-specific tutoring services, proctoring exams, providing consultations for time management and study skills and coordinating services for disabled students.

Zimmerman formerly worked at the Center for Teaching and Learning at the University of Illinois-Springfield. He also was a history instructor at Heartland Community College, Normal, and was a reference librarian at Alpha Park Public Library, Bartonville. He received a master’s degree in history from the University of Illinois-Springfield.
