‘The Office’ Actress to Speak at Eureka College

Actress Angela Kinsey from the Emmy award-winning NBC-TV comedy “The Office” will speak about the show and her career at 7:30 p.m. April 15 in the Cerf Center at Eureka College.
Kinsey, who plays feisty, tightly wound head of accounting Angela Martin, will be interviewed by Eureka College communication professor Amanda Frioli in an “Inside the Actors Studio” format. The presentation will include a video of outtakes and bloopers from “The Office” and a question-and-answer period. A reception for Kinsey will follow the presentation.

Kinsey received an Emmy Award for “The Office: Accountants,” a series of episodes on NBC.com, when the series was named outstanding broadband comedy program in 2007. She also received Screen Actors Guild awards when “The Office” cast was named outstanding ensemble in a comedy series in 2007 and 2008. The show won the Emmy Award for outstanding comedy series in 2006.
Kinsey's television credits include "All of Us," "Run of the House," "King of the Hill," "Mad TV,” “Mind of Mencia” and “Monk.” She will perform opposite Brendan Fraser in the comedy feature film “Furry Vengeance” slated for release in April. She made a cameo appearance in the 2007 film “License to Wed,” and she appears in ads for Clairol hair products.
Kinsey formerly worked as an operator for a telephone service that matches patients and dentists, and she has said that she often draws upon that work in corporate America for her scenes in “The Office.”
Originally from Texas, Kinsey grew up in Jakarta, Indonesia, and received a bachelor’s degree in English from Baylor University, Waco, Texas. She lives in Los Angeles.
