Eureka College Greeks to host ice cream social, children’s activities for Eureka residents

april 18 - lake eureka - 1:00 - 4:00 pm

For the second consecutive year, members of Eureka College’s social sororities and fraternities will host a free ice cream social for Eureka residents.

The event will be from 1 to 4 p.m. April 18 at the pavilion at Lake Eureka, where ice cream cones and sundaes will be distributed. There also will be activities for children, including face painting, sidewalk chalk art, wiffle ball and other games.

In case of inclement weather, the event will be held in Reagan Physical Education Center on Reagan Drive.

“Last spring’s ice cream social was well-attended despite being held in Reagan gym due to rain,” said council philanthropy chairman Kristin Diller of Chatsworth.  “This year we’re hoping for a beautiful Sunday afternoon so that Eureka families can come spend time with us as we show our appreciation to the Eureka community.”

The Eureka College Greek organizations are sororities Delta Delta Pi, Phi Omega and Delta Zeta and fraternities Tau Kappa Epsilon, Delta Sigma Phi and Lambda Chi Alpha.
