atrium in new ivy hall
The Richard W. Sanders Atrium in the new Ivy Hall at Eureka College will be dedicated in a ceremony at 4 p.m. Feb. 2. A reception will follow.
Long-time Eureka College history professor Richard Sanders of Eureka gave funds to build the atrium lobby of the new residence hall that opened Jan. 14. Sanders retired in 2010 after 25 ½ years at the college.
The 1,000-square-foot lobby features a two-story atrium and includes two lounges for studying and social activities, a service desk and a mail room. The lobby is part of the 28,000-square-foot, $6 million residence hall.
Those who want to attend the ceremony should RSVP to the Development Office at (309) 467-6319 by Jan. 31.
