Eureka Christian Church Minister to Speak at EC Baccalaureate

The Rev. Jennie Churchman, senior minister at Eureka Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), will give the sermon at the Eureka College baccalaureate at 6:30 p.m. May 13 in Becker Auditorium in the Cerf Center. The service is free and open to the public.

Churchman’s sermon titled “Go Out in Joy" will be taken from
Isaiah 55:10-13.

Churchman was named senior minister at the Eureka church in July 2010. She formerly was the minister at The Way, a contemporary campus of Northway Christian Church, Dallas.

Churchman has written a series of meditations for “The Upper Room Disciplines 2012” to be released in late 2011. 

Churchman received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a master of divinity degree from Brite Divinity School.  She also studied at Institut d’Etudes Francaises in La Rochelle, France, and at Union Theological Seminary in New York City.
