Matthew Cahill - Student Body President

Get to know

EC student body president

"I welcome you warmly and heartily to a place that has grown very dear to my heart in the two years I have lived and learned here - Eureka College.

It's a place that has inspired in me a uniquely strong passion for learning and serving. That passion has turned into a special enthusiasm for helping other students find those opportunites that have a transforming impact on their lives. That's the reason I'm involved in student government - it's at the very core of what we do.

Eureka College is a family, with its own values, its own support structure, and yes...even its own quirks. I hope you discover that concept of family in the classroom, in new friendships, and in the kaleidoscope of new experiences to which you open yourself.

May this place grow as dear to your heart as it has to mine."

Matthew Cahill is a junior Reagan Fellow who is serving his third year in student government. He is the first junior in recent years to be elected as Student Body President.
