The IT staff maintains the campus network and all related activities as well as provides help desk support for campus owned computer hardware and software.
Kanaka Vijitha-Kumara, serves as Senior Systems Administrator at Eureka College. In his tenure, he has made significant improvements to the computing environment on campus. He is responsible for both academic and administrative computing on campus and oversees the implementation of network services to the Eureka College Network. Kanaka also holds the rank of Professor of Computer Science. He is also a Certified Novell Engineer. B.S. - University of Sri Lanka, M.S. - Bowling Green State University, Ph.D. - Iowa State University.
Eldrick Smith, Network Manager, helps to troubleshoot server-related and connectivity issues on the campus network. His duties include second-level application software and hardware support for the end-user. B.S. - Eureka College.
Bonni Harris, Database User Support Coordinator, is primarily responsible for end-user database software support for administrative users, troubleshooting administrative software issues, and integrating administrative user services to the campus network. B.A. - University of Illinois at Springfield.
Marc Sherwood, Help Desk Manager, coordinates user requests sent to the Help Desk
e-mail account. His duties include troubleshooting of user-related hardware and software issues. B.S. - Eureka College.
