I maintain National Board Teacher Certification (NBCT), a designation for public school educators who meet rigorous standards in intensive study, expert evaluation, self-assessment, and peer review. I was a middle school Language Arts and Computer teacher for ten years, where I specialized in gifted education. I was awarded the Creative Classroom Teaching Award and Service above Self Award. I have developed and presented technology and interdisciplinary curricula at statewide and national conferences.
Besides teaching at Eureka, I enjoy spending time with my husband, my son, Gavin and my daughter, Nichole. In my free time I enjoy baking, gardening, and floral design.
