First-Year Students

Burrus Dickinson

“Your opportunity to change the world lies in a small, historic campus in central Illinois.”

A first year student is anyone who has completed high school and not taken college courses outside of Dual Credit and Advanced Placement courses.

Because we are committed to seeing all of our students succeed, we offer the Eureka Guarantee. That is our promise to you that we will do all we can to help you make your dreams a reality. Of course, it’s not easy and it demands hard work and commitment from you, but we promise that we’ll do all we can to help you achieve your goals.

Academic Rigor Paired with Personal Support

At Eureka College, personal attention to your learning and growth is our top priority. Our average class size is 17 students, which means you are learning, being mentored and supported by full-time professors and respected scholars in their field.  We have high expectations for you, and the Eureka difference is that we will help you achieve them.

Family Environment

At Eureka, your family becomes part of our family.  You will find the friendliness and comfort of a small campus environment at Eureka, coupled with the encouragement and support to take your learning outside the classroom and to hold the world in the palm of your hands.

Leadership Potential

At Eureka, education is a total experience of living and learning, combining academic priorities with life-changing opportunities outside the classroom.  We believe every student has immense potential for leadership and our many campus activities and organizations provide opportunities to learn and grow at every turn.
