A Western Michigan University Alum, Jess Brown played four years of Division one volleyball for the Broncos. Shortly after graduating she became the Volunteer Assistant Coach for the Bronco Volleyball team. Jess has had a variety of Higher Education experience. Starting her Higher Education career at Eureka back in 2014 as the Head Woman’s Volleyball coach and the Senior Woman’s Administrator for two seasons. She strengthen the volleyball program by increasing the roster size and redefining a struggling program. As the Senior Woman’s Administrator, she helped develop programming for student-athletes that addressed how to become a strong leader and well-being programming. Jess worked with the Athletic Director on developing a symposium for student-athletes; bring in a Division one Athletics Director, Sports Psychologist, and a 2012 Olympian that threw shot-put for the USA Team. Shortly after her two year term in athletics, Jess is now overseeing several programs in the Office of Student Life. Developing the 360 Proof program, Sexual Violence Programming, and strengthening First Generation, Commuter, CAB, and Residence Life Programming.
Over the course of three years here at Eureka College Jess has served as the Deputy Title IX Coordinator until July 1, 2016 where she became the Title IX Coordinator. Fulfilling the College’s Title IX compliance, Jess also serves as the live-on crisis staff member.

Eureka is unique for me because of all of the opportunities listed above. Eureka College not only provides experiences for students, but for the staff and faculty as well. I have been able to grow as a leader, work closely with the Senior Administration, serve on different working groups, and grow as a well-rounded Higher Education Administrator.
Jess is from Grand Rapids, MI, but calls Kalamazoo, MI home from her undergrad experience as a Division one Volleyball player for the Broncos.
