Professional Activity:

Prior to teaching, Marty worked as a set designer for the Theater at Monmouth, the state
Shakespearean theatre of Maine.  He also worked for Royal Caribbean International on
the Majesty of the Seas, the first ship in the RCI fleet to partake in concert itineraries
(Dave Matthews and Kenny Chesney).  Previous jobs have taken him to theatres such as
Peach State Summer Theatre (Valdosta, GA), Stagedoor Manor (Loch Sheldrake, NY),
The Lost Colony (Manteo, NC), West Virginia Public Theatre (Morgantown, WV), Round
House Theatre (Silver Spring, MD), and Bigfork Summer Playhouse (Bigfork, MT).
Marty serves on the executive board for the Peoria Live Theatre League, the Illinois
Theatre Association board, and the Illinois High School Theatre Planning Committee. He
also travels as a respondent for the Kennedy Center of the Arts Festival region III.  He has
presented at a number of regional theatre conferences for several years.

Uniquely Eureka Experience:

I came here for the opportunity to teach theatre.
