College courses have many writing assignments. This is an opportunity to ensure your writing is ready for college. If you were able to take your ACT or SAT check your English scores.

If the ACT English score is below 18 or the SAT ERW score is below 500, then you need this course. If you were not able to take the ACT or SAT, you can take a placement exam to determine if you need this course or if you can enroll in ENG103 Academic Writing and Research.  

ENG095 will focus on developing writing fluency through frequent short writing assignments and instructor feedback. By allowing students to explore familiar and specific subject matter, this class will develop students’ ability to concentrate on the writing process so that they are prepared to focus on content and argumentation in subsequent courses.

This course does not give you college credit, but is required to enroll in ENG103 which all Eureka College students must take. This course is graded Pass/Fail.
