EUREKA — Eureka College’s Students Alliance for Greener Environments is throwing a new outdoor festival for the campus and community to enjoy.
The first annual SAGE Fest will be held on the Ben Major lawn of the EC campus on Saturday, April 6, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The event is open to the public and free to attend.
SAGE, a student-led organization on campus that is dedicated to promoting sustainability and environmental awareness to the community, is inviting the community to help promote local food vendors, companies and artists, SAGE member Kayla Green said.
The afternoon will feature live music from Peoria band Memorial For A Dove, food from local vendors like Mexican cuisine food truck Pico De Gallo, coffee from on-campus coffee shop The Undergrounds and beer from Normal’s Lil Beaver Brewery. There will also be bags, bocce ball and horseshoes.
“We hope that it will be a fun and relaxing day where everyone can enjoy the outdoors with us,” Green said.
If it rains, the festival will be moved inside Ben Major.
