SIMI VALLEY, Calif. – Eureka College and The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute (RRPFI) signed a memorandum of understanding in Simi Valley, Calif. The agreement formalizes a partnership that includes dedicated scholarship funds for Eureka College students to participate in leadership and internship programs in both Washington, DC and Simi Valley.
As part of the agreement, a group of Eureka students will receive scholarship funds each semester through the Leadership and the American Presidency program in Washington, D.C. Eureka students will be placed in high-level Washington internships that align with their interests and provide experiential learning throughout the semester or summer.
Additionally, Eureka students will have the opportunity to participate in a summer internship at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute in Simi Valley each year. The program will place students in a department that best matches their skills and interests.
“As the institution that helped Ronald Reagan find his voice and develop his leadership skills, we are so pleased about this partnership with the RRPFI given our common goals of cultivating strong leaders,” Eureka College President Jamel Santa Cruze Wright said. “This mutually beneficial partnership solidifies our growing relationship with the RRPFI and will serve as a valuable experience for many of our students.”
