The Eureka College Board of Trustees approved promotions and tenure for faculty members. The awards reflect the commitment and excellent work of the faculty as teachers, mentors and scholars, according to Eureka College President J. David Arnold.

The tenure and promotions, which will take effect in August, were granted to:

  • Dr. Erika Quinn, promoted to associate professor of history
  • Dr. Renée Mullen, promoted to associate professor of environmental studies
  • Dr. Marygrace Kaiser, promoted to associate professor of psychology
  • Amanda Frioli, promoted to associate professor of communication
  • Associate professor of creative writing Dr. Zeke Jarvis, tenure
  • Associate professor of theatre arts and drama Marty Lynch, tenure
  • Associate professor of mathematics Dr. Prabhu Venkataraman, tenure
  • Associate professor of organic chemistry Dr. Alice Zhao, tenure

“Achieving promotion and tenure is an important career milestone for faculty,” Arnold said. “These board actions are the last step of a rigorous peer review process that examines teaching effectiveness, scholarship and creative activity and community service.”
