A transcript is a listing of the courses you have taken, the grades that you received, the academic statuses you have held, and any degrees or academic honors you have earned. Current and former students request their Eureka transcripts for a variety of reasons, including:
- Applying for acceptance at another college or graduate school
- Applying/Interviewing for a new job
- Applying for a scholarship
Students who still have access to their SONIS accounts may print an “unofficial” transcript from their Biographic page (when an unofficial transcript is acceptable). Eureka College has partnered with the National Student Clearinghouse to provide online transcript ordering for all other situations. Step-by-step instructions for online ordering are provided on this page.
Transcript orders range in price from $8.00 (if sending by mail or preparing for pickup) to $9.75 (for electronic package and delivery). Your credit card will be charged only after your order has been completed. In most cases, your order will be processed in one or two business days. Please allow additional processing time during peak times of the year, such as the beginning of the semester. You may opt to receive text and/or e-mail updates on the status of your order.
If you do not have access to a credit or debit card to place your order online, you may download the form below and mail it, with a check for $8 payable to Eureka College, to Eureka College, Office of the Registrar, 300 East College Ave., Eureka, IL 61530.
Because of the additional cost required to mail paper transcripts outside of the United States (which varies from country to country), we require anyone requesting paper transcripts to arrange and pay for shipping using eshipglobal.com. [There is no additional cost for electronic transcripts.] To request a shipment, visit https://study.eshipglobal.com (do not visit FedEx directly). You will be required to create a user name and password to set up an account. To request shipment, you will need your mailing address, e-mail address, phone number, and credit card information. If you have questions about how to use this service, review the Help section of the eShipGlobal website or e-mail email@example.com. Once you have requested the shipment, send an email to the Coordinator of International Student Services, firstname.lastname@example.org, to notify her that you have requested an eShipGlobal shipment. She will verify that the arrangements have been made and will let the Registrar know that the transcript is ready to be sent.
Instructions for Online Orders
1) NSC HOMEPAGE
After clicking the “Order Online Through NSC” button above, you will be brought to the Eureka College ordering form on the National Student Clearinghouse website.
Click the green “Order Transcript(s)” button at the bottom of the page.
2) PERSONAL INFORMATION (1 of 2)
Enter the information requested:
- Current Name
- Birthdate (use MM/DD/YYYY format, such as 02/08/1986)
- If you attended under a different name, click “Yes” when asked if your name has changed since attending school and enter your name at the time you attended.
- Student ID (if known) or Social Security Number (You will be asked to enter it twice)
- Answer the question about being currently enrolled (at Eureka). If you are not currently enrolled at Eureka, select “No” and enter the year you started and ended with Eureka (or guess to the best of your ability)
- Click “Continue”
If you have had any last names other than the two listed here, please include all of them in the Special Instructions box on Step 5.
Click the green “Next” button.
3) PERSONAL INFORMATION (2 of 2)
Enter your current contact information, including address, e-mail, and phone number.
Decide whether or not to receive alerts on your transcript order’s progress via text messaging.
Click the green “Continue” button.
4) RECIPIENT TYPE
Select the option that most closely resembles the type of organization or person to whom the transcript will be sent. Depending on your selection, one or more followup questions will appear. Complete each followup question.
Click the green “Continue” button.
5) TRANSCRIPT AND DELIVERY DETAILS
Decide if you want the transcript sent immediately (Current Transcript) or if you want us to wait until the current semester’s grades are entered (After Grades Are Posted) or, if you’re in your last semester at Eureka, have us wait until your degree is posted to your transcript (After Degree is Awarded).
Select how you want the transcript sent. We can put your transcript together and hold on to it in our office for you to pick up in person (Hold for Pickup). We can mail a hard copy to you or directly to its final destination (Mail). Or we can send an electronic version through the NSC (Electronic).
If you have the transcript sent by mail to yourself, please remember that you should not open the transcript when it arrives. An open transcript is automatically unofficial unless it was opened by the final recipient.
If you wish to have the transcript sent electronically, be sure that your recipient will accept it in that format (most colleges will, but employers vary). Note that you should NOT have an electronic version sent to yourself if you plan for it to go to someone else, as it must go directly to the intended final recipient.
Select how many copies you want if you are picking them up or mailing multiple copies to the same recipient.
If necessary, add notes in the “Enter other required instructions only” area.
If you have had last names other than the two already entered in Step 2, please list ALL of them in the “Enter other required instructions only” area, whether or not you recall having contact with the college with that last name. The name on your record may have been updated with a prior name without your knowledge.
Accept the school’s terms and conditions by clicking “Yes”
If you have a file that needs to be attached (such as a CAS form that must accompany your transcript), in the Upload Attachment area, click “Add File” and attach the file. This is rare.
Click the green “Continue” button.
6) DELIVERY INFORMATION
Depending on the delivery method you specified and if your recipient was already on the list of recipients, you may be asked to provide additional delivery information, such as an e-mail address for electronic delivery or a mailing address for mail delivery. Provide all information for which you are asked.
Click the green “Add to Cart” button.
7) SHOPPING CART
You will see your “shopping cart”. At this point, you may add another recipient (if sending transcripts to more than one place) by clicking on the “Add Recipient” button and following the previous steps. When you are ready to place your order, click the green “Checkout” button.
8) CHECKOUT - SIGNED CONSENT
Sign in the big box using your mouse (desktop), track pad (laptop), or finger (phone or tablet). Click “Accept Signature” when ready, followed by clicking the “Continue” button.
9) CHECKOUT - PAYMENT
Enter your credit card or debit card information and place your order.
