My research interests include thinking and reasoning biases in both basic and applied research problems. My current research collaboration concerns beliefs and biases involved in pseudoscientific ideas, such as type-style personality tests.
My favorite courses to teach are research methods and cognitive psychology; however, I love psychology in general, so some of my favorite courses I’ve taught have been outside of my doctoral specialty, such as social psychology.

What drew me to Eureka was my desire to teach at a small liberal arts college that focuses on the full learning experience of the students and emphasizes the liberal arts principles of critical thinking and a holistic education.
I’m a bit of a nerd for all things superheroes and science fiction (e.g., Star Trek, Star Wars). I like to watch movies and TV shows with my family: my wife, Astrid, my son, Oliver, and my daughter, Elliot. I have a blue belt in Israeli self-defense, Krav Maga, another passion of mine.
