Michael Reagan to Speak at 2019 Ronald Reagan Memorial Ceremony
EUREKA — Michael Reagan will deliver the keynote address at the 2019 Ronald W. Reagan Memorial Ceremony at Eureka College on June 5.
The ceremony — which will commemorate the 15th anniversary of the death of Eureka College’s most famous alumnus — is hosted by The Ronald W. Reagan Society, and will take place at 9:30 a.m. at the Ronald W. Reagan Peace Garden.
Michael Reagan, an American political commentator, Republican strategist and author, is the son of alumnus and former U.S. President Ronald Reagan ’32 and his first wife, actress Jane Wyman. A former EC Trustee, Ronald Reagan Society Guest Speaker, benefactor and supporter of the college, he recently became an Honorary EC Alum in April.
There is no charge to attend the event, and it will be followed by a complimentary breakfast. Attendees are encouraged to RSVP by calling 309-467-6319 or email reagan@eureka.edu. If it rains, the ceremony will be held in Moser Lobby of the Donald B. Cerf Center.
The Ronald W. Reagan Society of Eureka College is dedicated to helping President Reagan’s alma mater study, teach and share the same lessons and values President Reagan learned from Eureka College and used in his lifetime of leadership roles.
Founded in 1855 by abolitionists from the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) Eureka College is the smallest presidential alma mater in American history, and for 164 years, it has cultivated excellence in learning, service and leadership while providing students uniquely personalized and customizable educational opportunities.
