EUREKA – Eureka College is proud to announce the Spring 2025 graduates of Eureka College
The Eureka College commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 10, 2025, included 87 students. The graduates along with family and friends heard an inspiring speech from The Honorable Jane L. Campbell, the first woman elected Mayor of Cleveland, Ohio and now serving as the President/CEO of the United States Capitol Historical Society.
Mr. Vincent Vega, a 2019 Eureka College graduate and attorney for the Illinois Secretary of State, provided a welcome from the College alumni association and Ms. Katie Jo Jackson, President of the Class of 2025 shared final thoughts and encouragement to the class.
The graduates are from 57 Illinois communities, five states (AK, CA, GA, IN, MT), and one country (Switzerland).
Seven local communities had multiple graduates. Eureka and Peoria had the most with seven, followed by Washington (5), East Peoria (4), Gridley (2), Lacon (2), AND Metamora (2).
Ten graduates will complete their academic career in August and some of those walked in Saturday’s commencement ceremony.
Eureka College provides photos of the commencement ceremony for all graduates and families at https://eurekacollege.smugmug.com/2025-Spring-Commencement.

About Eureka College
Located on nearly 70 wooded acres in Eureka, Illinois, and chartered in 1855, Eureka College cultivates excellence in learning, service and leadership while providing students uniquely personalized educational opportunities.
Eureka College holds the unique distinction of being the first college in Illinois and only the third in the nation to admit men and women on an equal basis. The College, originally founded by abolitionist members of Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), is the smallest of only 24 colleges and universities to ever award a bachelor’s degree to a future President of the United States.
