Eureka College was founded by abolitionists from Kentucky who were members of a religious movement known as the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and were committed to providing young people a broad, liberal education. These pioneers believed in an education infused with values as a basis for leadership. Chartered by the Illinois Legislature in 1855, Eureka was the first college in the state and third in the nation to admit men and women on an equal basis. Eureka College was designated by the National Park Service as a Campus Historic District in the National Register of Historic Places in June 2010.

Ronald W. Reagan Celebration Dinner

The Ronald W. Reagan Society of Eureka College cordially invites you to attend the annual Ronald W. Reagan Celebration Dinner on Thursday, February 6, 2025. This year's Keynote speaker is Dr. Paul Kengor: Professor, New York Times bestselling author of the book, The Crusader: Ronald Reagan and the Fall of Communism, which inspired the Reagan biographical movie in 2024. This year the Society will feature Dr. Carole Richards '03, Eureka College Reagan Fellow Alumni, veterinarian and entrepreneur who will share how becoming a Reagan Fellow propelled her successful career.

Join us at 6:00 PM for cocktails and a special reception with Dr. Kengor in the Reagan Museum to get a signed copy of his book. Dinner and a program will follow at 7:00 PM.

Tickets are $75 and covers the cost of dinner and cocktails.

Any Reagan Society member who has renewed their membership at the $500 level or above for the last year by January 31st, 2025, will receive two complimentary tickets to the dinner and program as well as a signed copy of Dr. Kengor's book, The Crusader: Ronald Reagan and the Fall of Communism.

The bar will open for cocktails at 6:00 PM and a plated dinner will be served at 7:00 PM in the Terrill Rooms with a program to follow. (Vegetarian options are available.)
