Eureka College performing Sarah Delappe's Pulitzer Prize-winning play The Wolves
Eureka College is taking on Sarah Delappe’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play The Wolves. The story is about a girls' U-17 indoor soccer team as they warm up through a series of games.
Over the span of six weeks, we see the ever comical and dramatic look into what a team dynamic can actually be. While eight of the girls have been playing on the same soccer team since grade school, one newcomer sets a wrench into the entire team dynamic. We see cliches, jokes, and all too comparable embarrassments as this “new team” tries to uncover all the complexities of growing up.
Delappe’s writing style has a naturalistic rhythm to it which gives the play the ability to be comparable, entertaining, and engaging. No two girls on the team are alike which leads to the most fascinating conversations on homework, rumors, boyfriends, and yes…periods.
The chaotic and relatable content of The Wolves makes it a play you won’t soon forget. Make sure you reserve your seats today!
