Next Steps for Deposited Students

Welcome to Eureka College!

We look forward to having you join our community this school year. We know you have many questions right now, and our goal is to answer each of them before or upon your arrival on campus. Here you will find useful information as you begin the transition process at Eureka College.

 

Please complete and/or return the necessary forms listed below. The online forms will be emailed to the Office of Student Life, and you will also receive an electronic copy.

All Students Student Athletes
Housing Deposit and Housing Request Form
A $100 housing deposit gives priority for housing placement in our residence halls. The preferred deadline is April 1. The refundable housing deposit is required to move into campus housing. There is a Campus Housing Request Form to complete as well. Students who meet the qualifications and do not plan to live on campus are required to complete an Off Campus Housing Request Form.
Financial Responsibility Agreement
The Financial Responsibility Agreement explains the financial responsibilities associated with attending Eureka College. You must sign off on this for every year you attend EC. Questions about this agreement? Contact the Business Office at 309-467-6312. Eureka College offers a monthly payment plan through Nelnet Campus Commerce. Families who would like to use this option please email the Business Office directly at: businessoffice@eureka.edu in order to receive instructions on how to set up this plan. All payment options are listed on the Business Office webpage: eureka.edu/ business-office.
Federal Student Loan Requirements
Log into your EC Self-Service Financial Aid Student Portal and "accept", "reduced amount", or "decline" any federal student loan(s) offered to you.

Master Promissory Note
New borrower: Complete a Direct Loan Master Promissory Note at studentaid.gov. You will click the log in button and login using your FSA ID and password. If you don’t already have an FSA ID, you will be prompted to create one. You will choose ‘Complete Master Promissory Note’ then ‘Subsidized/Unsubsidized’. Continue entering your information until the Promissory Note is signed and you receive an on-screen confirmation of completion.

Loan Entrance Counseling
New borrower: Complete Entrance Counseling at studentaid.gov. You will sign in (or continue on from signing your Master Promissory Note) and click on ‘Complete Entrance Counseling’. Continue reading the content and answering the questions until you see “Congratulations, you are finished”. Electronic-Signing the MPN and completing entrance loan counseling are federal requirements for all student loan borrowers and must be completed prior to the loan being disbursed. Once you have finished the steps above, the Eureka College’s Office of Financial Aid will be notified and will proceed with processing your loan electronically with the Federal Government. All disclosures and legal documents for the loan will be provided directly from the Department of Education, Direct Loans. Immunization form
Immunizations are required for all full time, part time, international, etc. students. You can upload all immunizations including COVID vaccination cards to your individual SONIS account under the Biographic Page using the username and password emailed to you after you deposited. If you need help, please contact admissions@eureka.edu. All immunization records need to be turned into OSL by no later than August 8, 2022.

Please type your responses into the PDF and then click “Save As” to save it to your computer, then print.
Athletic Physical Evaluation
In order to meet NCAA regulations, a physical must be completed inside a 6-month window from when athletes begin practice. This form must be submitted to the Athletic Department.
Personal Data Document
The Personal Data Document provides the college with basic information concerning the sharing of records and academic, health, and billing information, as well as emergency contact information. All students' final transcripts are due by August 1.
Media Release
This Media Release Form gives EC permission to share news of your accomplishments with the people in your hometown, via your hometown newspaper and/or to use information and photos in our college publications, on the website and in social media.
Set Up Eureka Student Email Account
After a student deposits, the student receives (via the email provided at the time of their application) the information they need to set up their Eureka email account. Students begin using their Eureka email account after they deposit, receive the necessary information and set up the account; however, all deposited students must set up their Eureka email account prior to registration for classes. If you cannot locate your email information, please contact admissions@eureka.edu.
Submit Final Official Transcripts
When you have graduated or completed your semester, please request that your high school guidance counselor or the registrar at your college or university send your final transcripts sent to Eureka College. Final transcripts must be received by Eureka College before August 1. Transcripts can be sent using an electronic service or sent directly to admissions@eureka.edu. Come to Orientation
Summer Orientation is designed to provide everything you need for a successful start to classes in the fall. Eureka College is dedicated to your success and following all necessary precautions to transition students successfully through Summer Orientation into the Fall Semester. If you own or have access to a laptop, please bring it with you to Orientation so we can help you complete the needed documents. If you don't have a laptop, one will be provided for you.
Order Textbooks
Students beginning coursework in August should order their textbooks by the August deadline shown on the online bookstore. Books can be shipped to home or campus. EarlyStart students should choose ship to home and will see an earlier deadline. All students will need to enter their student ID. This option for purchasing textbooks allows students to use their student account for billing of textbook orders. The online bookstore opens mid July. Watch for emails from the bookstore and BNC Services. Customer Contact Center: 800-325-3252. *Course materials will be shipped automatically to those who do not make a purchase or opt out by the deadline. *
Parking Registration
All residential and commuter students wishing to bring a car to campus must complete the EC Parking Registration Form.
