Stephen Kirk ’87 - The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials has appointed Stephen Kirk – chief internal auditor and director of the office of internal audit for the Illinois Department of Transportation – to a two-year term as chair of the Committee on Internal and External Audit. He previously served as the committee’s vice chair.
Stacey Hawley ‘00 is a middle school English and language arts teacher at Holy Family Parish School-Peoria. She married her husband Matt on October 10, 2020.
Will Compton ’19 graduated from Vanderbilt Divinity School with a Master of Divinity and began working for Open Table Nashville earlier this year. Open Table Nashville is a non-profit, interfaith community that disrupts cycles of poverty, journeys with the marginalized, and provides education about issues of homelessness.
Charles Mangold III ’22 has been invited to try out with the USA Olympic Bobsled Team at the Olympic Training Facility in Lake Placid, New York.

Kaitlyn Marie Oljace ’10 married John Wesley Scudder on June 18, 2022 at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Peoria, Illinois.
Lindzey Hoover ‘16 completed her master’s in Clinical Science at the University of Michigan. Her thesis titled, Co-occurrence of Food Addiction, Obesity, Problematic Substance Use, and Parental History of Problematic Alcohol Use, will be published in Psychology of Addictive Behaviors. Her first author paper, Childhood Trauma and Food Addiction: The Role of Emotion Regulation Difficulties and Gender Differences, was also recently published.
Ellie Gray '18 and Jonathon Hileman ‘17 were married on May 14, 2022.

Joel Shoemaker ’06 has published a book. “Bacon Grief” is a Christian romantic comedy novella that centers around two high school students, Tim and Charlie, as they navigate their relationship and life within the church.
Dr. Ryan Hansen '07 was named superintendent of the Flanagan-Cornell Unit 74 School District in November 2021.
Makena Webb Schmitt '17 married Zachary Schmitt '17 in November 2021. They are grateful to Eureka College for bringing them together and are enjoying married life.

Sarah Little ‘09 was recently promoted to Senior Director of Licenses and Permits Compliance for Walmart Inc. In this role, Sarah leads the team that maintains the facility and entity licenses for Walmart stores, Sam's Clubs, and walmart.com 1/1/22
Colton Lott ‘15 has been elected to an unexpired term on the Board of Trustees of the Disciples Divinity House. Colton received his MDiv of the University of Chicago Divinity School, and was ordained in his home congregation of Ada, Oklahoma. He also serves on the board of the Higher Education and Leadership Ministries of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). 1/1/22
