EC elects trustees, officers

The Eureka College Board of Trustees recently elected trustees and officers. Elected as trustees were:

Andy Chiou M.D. of Peoria, a vascular surgeon, President of Peoria Surgical Group and medical director of the OSF Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Center.

Craig Shirley of Lancaster, Va., president of Shirley & Banister Public Affairs and author of several bestselling books, including two about Ronald Reagan. Shirley is the first Reagan Scholar at Eureka College and taught a course titled “Reagan 101.”

Philip Stiles of Chicago, director of operations and maintenance at Acciona, a renewable energy operations firm. Stile is an alumnus of Eureka College.

Lila Gammon of Washington, an adjunct instructor at Illinois Central College, a former high school business teacher and former president of the Community Unit School District 140 Board of Education. She was married to the late Gary Gammon, a former dean of Eureka College.

Elected as officers were chairman James Hengst of Clarence Center, N.Y., president and CEO of ZeptoMetrix and an alumnus of Eureka College; vice chairman William King of Austin, Texas, a retired executive at State Farm Insurance and an alumnus of Eureka College; treasurer Mark Spenny of Hanna City, president and CEO of CEFCU; and secretary K. Edward Holderle of St. Louis, an attorney at Spencer Fane Britt & Brown LLP.
