Eureka College’s TKE Iota Chapter to Host 24 Hour Teeter-Totter Event for Charity
Eureka College’s TKE Iota Chapter will be teeter-tottering twenty-four consecutive hours on the Eureka Courthouse Lawn to raise money for St. Jude.
Date: Friday, April 26th, 2024
Time: 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. the following morning.
Location: Eureka Courthouse Lawn
IL-117, Eureka, IL 61530
The men of Tau Kappa Epsilon will teeter totter through the day and night in the name of charity. Volunteering fraternity members will trade off in shifts to ensure the teeter totter does not stop while attending community members participate in yard games, socialize, or make charitable donations to “Pie a TKE”, among other challenges.
The Fraternity will host the event as a part of “TKE Week”, a week-long set of daily events aimed to encourage students and community members to donate to St. Jude, Tau Kappa Epsilon’s affiliated charity. Last year, the chapter aimed to raise 1250 dollars for the charity and ended the semester with just over 2000 dollars in donations. The TKE Iota Chapter’s philanthropy goal for this academic year is 3000 dollars.
