Community Engagement    

An active member of several professional and civic organizations that reflect his commitment to leadership, service, and community engagement. A proud member of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA), where he remains engaged in advancing student development and higher education leadership practices. A dedicated member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., with affiliations in both the Saginaw Alumni Chapter and the Champaign-Urbana Alumni Chapter, demonstrating continued involvement in mentorship and community uplift. In addition, he is a member of the Free & Accepted Masons – Prince Hall Affiliated, serving through Lone Star Lodge #18, supporting initiatives promoting brotherhood and civic responsibility. A commitment to public service extends to appointments with the City of Champaign, where he serves on the Human Relations Commission and the Citizens Review Subcommittee, working to advance equity, inclusion, and community trust.

 

About    

Dr. Prince F. Robertson serves as the Interim Vice President and Dean of Student Life at Eureka College. With extensive experience in student affairs and higher education leadership, Dr. Robertson has dedicated his career to fostering student growth, engagement, and success. His professional responsibilities have included addressing students of concern, managing student conduct and campus crises, Title IX compliance, responding to bias incidents, and enhancing student retention through thoughtful intervention and support services. He has also led initiatives related to student leaves of absence, withdrawals, and staff supervision. 

Throughout his career, Dr. Robertson has collaborated closely with students, administrators, and parents, centering his work on advocacy, mentorship, and holistic development. His approach to student success is grounded in the belief that genuine connection begins with validating the unique experiences of every student.

He is deeply committed to creating a secure, inclusive, and student-centered campus environment, Dr. Robertson approaches his work with integrity, professionalism, and enthusiasm. His leadership reflects a deep commitment to innovation, collaboration, and service ensuring that every student at Eureka College is supported, empowered, and positioned for success. His professional journey spans a diverse range of institutional settings, including large research universities, mid-sized institutions, small colleges, Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), and community colleges, providing him with a broad and adaptable perspective on student engagement.

Above all, Dr. Robertson is a devoted husband to Mallory Robertson, and a proud father to Jeremiah, Isaiah, and Danielle Robertson; his greatest motivation and inspiration for striving toward excellence.
