Eureka College was founded by abolitionists from Kentucky who were members of a religious movement known as the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and were committed to providing young people a broad, liberal education. These pioneers believed in an education infused with values as a basis for leadership. Chartered by the Illinois Legislature in 1855, Eureka was the first college in the state and third in the nation to admit men and women on an equal basis. Eureka College was designated by the National Park Service as a Campus Historic District in the National Register of Historic Places in June 2010.

Financial Aid eligible: You are enrolled as a full-time student but only take one course at a time, two at the most if also completing an online course. You can manage the course work like a part-time student while still completing a full time course schedule.
Continue working. Course offerings do not interfere with Monday – Friday work schedules. You have course schedule available at day one so you can plan.

Admission Requirements

Transfer GPA of 2.0
58 transferrable credits, including English composition sequence. Students who transfer in less than 58 credits will need to take additional credits to reach 120 credits.
An AA/AS or AAS degree with cumulative GPA of 2.0 will meet admission requirements. Will accept AAS degrees as long as English composition sequence.
