The Reagan Transfer Scholarship is a $2,500 scholarship that will be awarded to a student who completes his/her second year at Sauk Valley Community College and transfers to Eureka College to pursue their baccalaureate degree. The scholarship will be renewable for a second consecutive year of study at Eureka College, based on satisfactory progress toward a degree. ... live at 700 Reagan Drive which is located just across the parking lot from Eureka College’s athletic facilities. The men of TKE own their own house, but members of the house are still on the College’s meal plan and use on campus laundry facilities (free of charge to TKE residents). They also still have a Resident Advisor employed by the College. As long as space is available, members are able to have a single room with no additional charge. The house consists of two floors that hold 16 rooms, 2 community restrooms, a large lounge, and an additional floor with a full basement. The house also offers a deck and a large front and backyard.

The basin behind the building was designed to serve as a vegetated wetland — allowing water to soak into the ground and be taken up by plants, thus replenishing the ground instead of adding to the burdens of the towns storm sewer system. The building received LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Silver certification, thanks in part to the native plants!   Another class of Botany students further researched each of the native plant species and participated in outreach events to get the word out about the benefits of native plants.   Ecology and Conservation Biology The Ecology and Conservation Biology classes have been participating in an ongoing frog survey at The Nature Conservancy’s constructed wetlands on Franklin Farm near Bloomington-Normal.   Research Methods of Environmental Studies and Environmental Studies Capstone Students learn how to do research with a focus on helping others in the community. ... at the Ronald Reagan Museum, including support for internships and creating an online catalog available for researchers and general public interest.   For years, the board and administration have been anticipating the “enrollment cliff” where lower birth rates mean that fewer students will be attending college. Our situation is exacerbated by the reality that Illinois is a significant net exporter of students. Despite factors like these that are beyond our control, we still welcomed one of the largest entering classes on record in fall 2022 and followed that up with a solid recruitment year in fall 2023. The two ways to grow enrollment are to recruit more students to campus and then increase the retention rate of those who have chosen EC for their education. We are investing substantial resources in both of these areas. One of the anchors of our enrollment plan is a more robust strategy to recruit out-of-state students

The museum received a $48,160 Inspire Grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and a $8,610 preservation grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH). The IMLS grant provides funds to create a digital catalog of the Reagan museum items, making the museum items more accessible to authors, Reagan scholars, researchers, and other interested parties.  The grant adds one part-time person to assist in the digitization, allowing the museum to develop the role as a student internship.  The NEH grant will help the museum prevent damage to the collection by making improvements to the light, temperature, and humidity levels in the museum and archives.  “Receiving both the Inspire!
