Eureka College Guitar Instructor/Jazz Band Director Michael W. Hull received the Master of Music Degree from Illinois State University. During his undergraduate days at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, he was twice awarded as an A.J. Fletcher Scholarship recipient. He has performed in the master classes of the world's most celebrated artists--Christopher Parkening, Scott Tennant, Ana Vidovic and others.
As an educator, he has directed successful studios and ensembles at Millikin University, Heartland College, Bradley University and Illinois Central College. In addition, he has coached prize winning and gold medal guitarists through the Royal Conservatory of Music (Toronto) Certicificate Program. He is the only certified Childbloom Guitar Program Director in the state of Illinois, specializing in teaching children and youth. Many of his students have continued higher degrees, faculty positions and performance careers.
As an artist in demand, Mr. Hull has performed on the Springfield Guitar Society Concert Series (Illinois) as well as a Residency at the University of Baltimore, performances at Illinois Wesleyan University, Cultural House of Vileyka, Belarus (former Soviet Union), Meredith College and many other venues and institutions.
