International

If you are applying as an international student, please:

  • Fully complete our application for admission.  Eureka does not currently have an application fee.
  • Submit documentation of your TOEFL, IELTS, PTE, or Manchester Exam scores, if your first language is not English.  Minimum scores are: TOEFL - 550 paper-based, 213 computer-based or 74 Internet-based, IELTS of 6, and PTE Academic score of 50 or above.  Note - we do not accept Duolingo scores for English proficiency. There is a cost for this service that the student is responsible to pay directly to the testing firm.
  • Submit your official high school transcript evaluation from ECE (Educational Credential Evaluators), WES (World Education System), UCredo, or similar company that provides a GPA on a 4.0 weighted scale. The results of the official transcript evaluation plus the official transcript should be sent to admissions@eureka.edu. We do not evaluate transcripts internally and must have an evaluation in order to make an admission decision.  There is a cost to this service that the student is responsible to pay directly to the evaluation firm.

If accepted, you must provide a $200 deposit to confirm your intention to enroll and a $100 housing deposit.

Notes for International Students:

  • Eureka College does not charge an application fee, but all other fees for the English test and transcript evaluation must be paid by the student. Eureka College does not provide waivers for those fees.
  • A minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.25 on a 4 point scale is required for admission.
    • If your GPA is between 2.25 and 2.49, you may be conditionally admitted  and must complete a four-week, on-campus program ahead of the Fall semester.
  • Students from non-English speaking countries should submit ACT or SAT scores and submit documentation of scores from one of the following English Proficiency Tests:
    • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Minimum score of 550 paper-based, 213 computer-based, or 74 internet-based.
    • International English Language Testing System (IELTS). Minimum scores of 6.0 required.

In addition to all normal application procedures, international students must demonstrate the ability to supply funds to finance their education. The Office of Admissions will provide an Affidavit of Support document upon acceptance, which must be filled out, stamped by a notary, and returned to the Eureka College PDSO.  International students will also be required to submit official bank statements. These bank statements must be in English on an official bank letterhead and include the name of the account holder, the total amount in the account (in USD$), and the type of account (checking/savings). The bank statements must be dated within twelve (12) months of the academic program start date.

International students may be considered for all Eureka scholarships.  After academic scholarships, there will be approximately $25,000-$28,000 USD per year in tuition, fees, housing, and food costs that must be paid. We do not offer full tuition and housing scholarships.

Note: Applications are considered on a rolling basis following receipt of all required items.  However, all materials must be received by June 1 for Fall Semester and October 1 for Spring Semester.
