You will want to own a couple pairs of these sheets! Find them online or in stores. College might be the only place you will ever need these specialized sheets but having multiple pairs will come in handy to minimize laundry.

 

2) Surge Protector with USB Ports

This will protect some of your more valuable electronics from a power surge. It allows you to have multiple outlets than most college residence halls. Better yet, get one that includes USB ports for charging.

 

3) Mattress Topper

Residence Halls are one-size-fits-all.  Customize yours with a mattress topper, and you will have a better night’s sleep. A mattress topper will make lounging around in your dorm room more comfortable for all four years!

 

4) Storage Solutions

Residence hall closets are adequate, and you will always want more! Buy the under the bed containers to store clothes and other items. Make sure to view the dorms and get an idea for how much space you will have.

 

5) Command Strips

This is a handy way to hang up almost anything in your dorm room. Just a few ideas are bookbags, clothes, pictures, towels, keys, lights, and the list goes on!

 

6) Bathroom Tote

Use a tote to store and easily move your shower/bathroom supplies. Your personal belongings in one area make them easier to move.

 

7) Binder Clips

These cleaver little clips could save you in the long run when using the clips to keep cords in good shape. When using them attach them to your desk, bed side, or on the walls to prevent a mess of cords all over your dorm room.

 

8) Cleaning Supplies

The worst feeling is when you get settles in your residence hall room and spill food or a drink on your floor. Be prepared with disinfecting wipes, stain remover, sweeper or broom, and of course, bring your air fresheners.
