Student Services, Engagement, and Leadership Office Mission Statement
The Student Services, Engagement, and Leadership Office at Eureka strives to promote co-curricular involvement in the areas of organizations and activities using various resources on and off campus including the Cerf College Center; center of campus community life. We encourage personal development socially, interpersonally, and morally through student engagement. Providing programming, campus activities, and resources we strive to cultivate holistic student growth and development and in turn support the mission of Eureka College.
Student Services, Engagement, and Leadership – Learning Outcomes
The Student Services, Engagement, and Leadership Office at Eureka College has four learning outcomes that all programs, events, or projects align with. The learning outcomes include:
- Students will gain a greater understanding and appreciation for diversity of ideas and backgrounds.
- Students will appreciate the value of and engage in leadership, teamwork, and other practical experiences to gain competence to work with others, collaborate and use appropriate civil discourse.
- Students will take advantage of opportunities to use their education to serve others and their communities through involvement in service and civic engagement activities with the goal of becoming more informed and engaged citizens.
- Students will take advantage of experiences and opportunities to apply academic knowledge in practical and experiential settings to enhance preparedness for academic, personal, and career success.

As a student at Eureka College, getting involved is a tremendous opportunity that will have lasting impacts on your life; short term and long. With the turning of a new academic school year, the amount of organizations and activities are plentiful. No matter if you are a new first year, transfer student, commuter, or upperclassman, taking advantage of what we have to offer will be to your benefit. Cerf College Center Mission Statement
To serve as the community center for all members of the Eureka College community-students, faculty, staff, alumni, and guests.
To serve as part of the educational program of Eureka College by providing learning opportunities through student involvement in committees, organizations and programs, student employment, and a regional conference center.
To provide the services, conveniences and amenities which are needed in daily campus life and in support of the mission of the College.
To serve as a point of identification reflecting the spirit, traditions, and history of Eureka College.
The Donald B. Cerf Center is a focal point of campus activity, housing the “Burgoo,” the campus snack bar, the College Bookstore, student mailboxes, and the Student Services, Engagement, and Leadership Office.
